INTRODUCTION TO PUEBLO FRESCOS / ALL LEVELS
Pueblo Frescos is an age-old technique used by the Pueblo People of the southwest region. Come join this wonderful exploration with artist Deborah Jojola- Isleta/Jemez Pueblo Native and learn from the past, as you incorporate your inspired skills as you create your own fresco.
The workshop with encompass the techniques of natural plaster surface, textures and natural pigment paints for a wet on wet application of your design elements inspired by the beautiful surrounding of Mesa Verde.
This workshop will allow you to explore ideas and give them a new compositional technique through the use of Pueblo frescos. Develop the idea of what it was like to be a part of the history which used the natural environment and utilize the earth pigments within the age-old elements of storytelling.

MATERIAL FEE – $30.00 paid to the instructor at the time of the class
- MATERIALS PROVIDED INCLUDE: 12″ x 12″ panel board, natural plaster and natural pigments
- Bring your own lunch
- Bring your favorite brushes, dust mask and sketches if you want (Dust mask is important as you mix natural pigments and plaster)
