Leather and Stones Necklace Workshop

Join leather artisan Kelly Horrigan to create a unique statement necklace. Learn all the necessary steps to integrate semi-precious stones with leather using traditional leatherworking techniques. The instructor will provide an overview of different types of leather and discuss the healing properties of the semi-precious stones used in creating your pieces. Students will walk away with a finished necklace of their own creation!

Students will receive a supplier guide and handouts to take home. Workshop materials are $65 and include leather, semi-precious stones, chain and hardware closures. All materials provided.

This workshop is open to ALL skill levels! Ages 16 years and up are welcome.

About the Artist:

Kelly Horrigan is a leather artisan, fashion designer and educator. She earned her BFA in fashion design and has since been a professor at Pratt Institute. Kelly has taught jewelry workshops, sandal making, sewing construction, computer-aided design and fashion design presentation. Her work has been worn by Janet Jackson, Steven Tyler, Debbie Harry and featured in the pages of the Fader, Surface,,, The New York Times and seen on Transparent, The Voice, and Bravo TV.
