Homemade Margherita Pizza
If you love Pizza Margherita and want to learn to make it at home, this class is for you! This is a hands on experience where you will learn to make pizza dough from scratch. We will craft a delicious red sauce and, the piece de resistance, you will learn to make home made mozzarella cheese! You will love learning these techniques and will use them over and over again. You will go home with a pizza to share with some lucky folks!

DATE & TIME:
Saturday / April 13th
9 a.m. – 1 p.m.
We will be making homemade dough, pizza sauce, mozzarella cheese and assembling an amazing pizza!
STUDENTS NEED TO BRING:
- 8 quart or larger non-reactive pot
- Slotted spoon
- One 2 quart microwavable bowl
- Two medium to large mixing bowls
- Large mixing spoon
- Measuring cups
- Measuring spoons
- Baking sheet
- 1 gallon of your favorite whole or reduced fat milk
Make sure you check, only pasteurized will work!
- Cooking thermometer (if you have one)
- Cutting board
- Long chef knife

About the Artist:
Jana began her culinary career in the same manner as many do. She was born into it! Her Italian grandparents and both of her parents loved to cook! An early exposure to great food sparked a passion that continues to this day.
She trained at Zona Spray Cooking School, an accredited cooking school in Hudson, Ohio. Her training lead her to a position in the cooking school. She worked along side many professional chefs that taught at Zona Spray Cooking School, including Michael Symon (The Chew).
Her love of food, cooking and healthy eating lead to a 21 year personal chef/catering business. She has since retired from her catering business, but the love of food has lead her to sharing her knowledge in a classroom environment.
