Found Metal Art Sculpture Workshop

Bring your found metal art and learn how to assemble it into a sculpture!
Students will learn different techniques to assemble metal art by welding, bolting and riveting. Students homework before hand, they need to layout their sculpture on the ground or table, take a picture and send to Steve before the workshop so he can see if it is doable for the class and make any changes or suggestions.

What to bring:

  • All materials you want to use in your sculpture!
  • Wear only cotton clothes – no polyester!
  • Leather shoes preferably
  • Leather gloves if you have them.
  • Instructor will provide safety glasses
  • Bring a sack lunch

About the Artist:
Steve is a Southwest Colorado native who has been blacksmithing for 18 years and teaching since 2012. His classes are extremely popular, with students that attend on a regular basis. Steve attended Frank Turley’s Blacksmith School in Santa Fe and then served apprenticeships with Mike Boone, Rod Pickett and Smokey Adams.
